Download the FIR ToolkitA key policy outcome in PPN 06/20, the Government’s Social Value Model, is reducing the disability employment gap and tackling workforce inequality.
Activities that can help deliver this policy outcome, include:
- Supporting disabled people in developing new skills
- Increasing representation of disabled people in your workforce / supply chain
- Supporting in-work progression for everyone
- Tackling inequality in the contract workforce
- Identifying and managing the risks of modern slavery
Promoting equal opportunities and a culture of fairness, inclusion and respect brings many business benefits to the companies that work to achieve it. As a sector, we need to embrace FIR in order to attract, recruit, train and retain the skills we need to address the industry-wide skills shortage.
