Professional background and skills
Ben Stone is a sustainability professional and chartered environmentalist with 20 years of sustainability experience, including 12 years working in built environment sectors, supporting businesses to reduce their impacts and realise sustainability opportunities.
Since joining Kier, as Head of Environmental Sustainability, Ben has worked to evolve Kier’s sustainability framework, ‘Building for a Sustainable World’ including sustainability systems and reporting. Through which the business guides strategic actions to enhance sustainability performance.
Industry influence
Alongside his professional experience, Ben is personally committed to enhancing our environment, holding the voluntary role of Chair of the board of trustees at the Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust, supporting the local action the Wildlife Trust takes to combat the climate and nature emergency and empower people to take action.
